Send the name you want and, optionally, the intended use. No account, no registration, no minimum offer. If several names in one sector are of interest, list them in a single enquiry.
- Terms
A reply within one business day, stating the price in USD, whether the name is available individually or only as part of a set, and any conditions. If the name is already in active discussion, that is stated instead.
- Escrow
On agreed terms, funds are placed with an independent regulated escrow provider. Escrow.com, Atom.com, Sedo.com and Spaceship.com are used most often; the choice is normally the buyer’s. Axiom does not hold, receive or process payment at any stage.
- Transfer
On confirmation that funds have cleared, the name is pushed to the buyer’s registrar. Most transfers complete within 24 hours. Some extensions are slower; where that applies it is stated in advance. The buyer confirms receipt and escrow releases.
On escrow
Axiom is not a payment processor. Every transaction settles through an independent regulated escrow provider that holds the buyer's funds until the domain is in the buyer's registrar account. Axiom is named on the escrow agreement as the seller only.
Providers used regularly include Escrow.com, Atom.com, Sedo.com and Spaceship.com. Naming them describes practice; it is not an endorsement, partnership or agency relationship. Each operates under its own terms, and any dispute over the handling of funds is between the buyer and that provider. See the terms.
Questions
Why are no prices published? Names are quoted individually. Price depends on the name, whether it is bought alone or as part of a set, and the intended use. A published figure would not account for those.
Are instalments possible? On larger names, usually yes, through an escrow provider that supports scheduled payments. The domain remains under escrow control until the final instalment clears.
Can a full sector be acquired? Yes. Names within a sector are frequently acquired together as a defensive set, and a set is quoted as a set rather than as the sum of its parts.
Are any names brokered on behalf of others? No. Every name in the index is held directly by Axiom.
Is trademark clearance provided? No. Names with an evident conflict are kept out of the index, but that is a selection judgement, not a legal opinion. All names are sold as-is and clearance in the buyer’s jurisdiction and class is the buyer’s responsibility.
Can these names be bought elsewhere? Yes. The same names are listed on Afternic, Atom, Spaceship and other marketplaces, and can be purchased there under those platforms' own terms and buy-now pricing. Marketplace listings include a commission; a direct enquiry does not.
How long does a transaction take? The shortest complete within a week: enquiry, terms, escrow funded, transfer. The limiting factor is normally the buyer’s own timeline.
